What to know
Nuna's Canadian PIPA, PIPA lite and PIPA urbn manuals all say not to use the seat more than 7 years after the date of purchase (proof of purchase required) or the date of manufacture otherwise. Nuna's current US PIPA-series manuals give no year figure and say only to check the label on the underside of the carrier or base, so we could not re-verify the 7 years against a US Nuna page. The stamped do-not-use-after date on your own seat is the final word.
The date of manufacture is on the seat itself. The model number, date of manufacture, and stamped do-not-use-after date are on a label on the bottom of the child restraint (and on the underside of the base for seats sold with one). Nuna also prints this information on the registration card packed with the seat.
Safety note: SeatCheck summarizes manufacturer and NHTSA guidance, but the label on your own seat and its manual are the final word. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer with your model and serial number.
