What to know
Evenflo's current policy gives every car seat and booster it makes a 10-year expiration from the date of manufacture, and that is where the EveryStage's 10 years comes from. Evenflo does not publish a separate EveryStage figure of its own, and its FAQ still describes a 6-year default for older seats with the Symphony, Transitions and Evolve named as the 8-year exceptions. So for an EveryStage made before January 2025, do not assume 10: read the date and model label on the seat, which is what Evenflo tells you to do.
The date of manufacture is on the seat itself. The date of manufacture label, which also shows the model name, model number, and expiration information, is usually on the bottom, side, or back of the seat. On infant seats check the underside of the carrier and the base.
Safety note: SeatCheck summarizes manufacturer and NHTSA guidance, but the label on your own seat and its manual are the final word. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer with your model and serial number.
