What to know
ClickTight-generation convertibles are 10-year seats. Older non-ClickTight Boulevards (roughly 2011 to 2014) had 7-year lives, so check the serial label and manual on used seats.
The date of manufacture is on the seat itself. The date of manufacture (and on newer seats the expiration date) is on the serial label. Its position varies by model: underside of the shell next to the harness slots on infant seats, back of the seat under the tether hook on ClickTight convertibles, top of the ClickTight compartment under the cover on One4Life, the outside of the headrest on Grow With You models, and under the cover at the front corner on Highpoint and Skyline boosters.
Safety note: SeatCheck summarizes manufacturer and NHTSA guidance, but the label on your own seat and its manual are the final word. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer with your model and serial number.
