What to know
Peg Perego's expiration policy gives booster seats 12 years from the date of original purchase, the longest figure of any brand on this site. Keep the receipt or register the seat, because the clock starts at purchase; if you cannot document that date, Peg Perego says to use the production date on the shell instead. Boosters cannot be used on aircraft.
The date of manufacture is on the seat itself. The production date label is on the seat shell; on Primo Viaggio infant seats it sits under the fabric near the child's feet. The label carries the date information used to calculate expiration when the purchase date is unknown.
Safety note: SeatCheck summarizes manufacturer and NHTSA guidance, but the label on your own seat and its manual are the final word. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer with your model and serial number.
