What to know
Same six years from the manufacturer's date as the rest of the Doona line, since Doona publishes one expiration figure and does not break it out by model. The Doona X is the newer seat, certified to FMVSS 213B where the Doona+ is certified to 213A. Both are FAA certified, and the base never flies.
The date of manufacture is on the seat itself. Doona calls it the traceability sticker: a white label on the back of each product, both on the car seat and on the LATCH base. That sticker carries the product details Doona asks for at registration, and the user guide asks for the model number and manufacturing date. Doona's general guidance adds that a car seat's expiration is usually on the manufacturer's label or sticker on the back or bottom of the seat, or stated in the instruction manual.
Safety note: SeatCheck summarizes manufacturer and NHTSA guidance, but the label on your own seat and its manual are the final word. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer with your model and serial number.
